Bear damage to donnacona targets.

We recently switched to donnacona as a target butt material. The old bag targets stuffed with plastic were getting torn apart by bears thinking there was food in them.
The donnacona works great except... the damn bears are going after some of them. The latest resulted in a huge hole being gouged out of our 20 yard target.
Has anyone had this issue? What could possibly interest them in this stuff? Any suggestions for solutions?

About a gallon of ghost pepper hot sauce.

California Reaper Pepper is even more potent than the ghost. I wonder if putting some ammonia on and around it would work??
