Shot one 3 weeks ago with an original NAP 1.5" 3-blade Spitfire mechanical. Short 40 yd blood trail to the moose from the shot.

Any good fixed blade that flies true should do the trick. Better to get penetration. Just shot 2 bulls between my brother and myself. Both got 2 arrows and dropped in sight

I shot one a few weeks ago with a g5 striker. In fact I have taken 3 moose with that head. Two of the moose were complete pass throughs. Can’t go wrong with that head.

Iron will, QAD Exodus would be my top pick depending on if you’re a 3 blade, 2 blade guy or budget. Steel Force Phatheads are good man there are so many good options.

Every moose I’ve ever killed was with a 125 Montec. Wasn’t happy about its ability to hold an edge, so I’m trying a 150g 3 blade Tuffhead. They fly well for me, but haven’t shot anything but foam with them so far.

Magnus, Zwickey, Bear, Ace, Grizzly, which one can you get the sharpest and will tune the best from your bow? That's the answer.

I was looking at leatherwall classifieds the other day and a guy was selling 3 Iron Wills for $75. One had been shot.
For that kind o’ money I would take 6 new Ace Standards on long adapters, but if you think you need to go fancy, then Go Fancy. Suit yourself. ;)

My favorite head is an abowyer bonehead light. Super tough 2 edge single bevel and weights 120 grains. Shot these for years with glue in glue on adapters and as I've started going down in my bow weights I've switched to glue on threaded adapters and inserts in my shafts for more head weight. They used to be 45 for 3 and now are up to 70 for 3.

with my current set up I would use a slick trick standard or Sevr1.5

Shot one recently with a SlickTrick 125 Magnum. Went approx 100 yards - was not a complete pass through. Would use the same broadhead again for moose if the opportunity presents itself.

I've taken several with Muzzy's. But I'm not terribly objective.
In the early 80's I was standing beside John "Muzzy" Mussachia when he shot the first moose with his takedown recurve and a prototype Muzzy 125 broadhead. In the Alphabet Hills of GMU 13 here in Alaska.

Just to chime in, lots of guys here and above have killed them with a very sharp broadhead.
If I didn’t see if for myself, moose are relatively easy to kill, just like I was told, if that head is where it’s supposed to be.
Shot placement is key, same as any other critter.
I’m just sold on Ironwilloutfitters.
Good luck to you

I will probably never hunt moose, but if I did, I'd use a VPA 125gr, 3 blade with my compound, 175gr 2 blade with my recurve.

I’ve killed them with Iron Will’s and VPA’s. Lots of good heads out there. Shoot something you have confidence in…

I think there are a lot of fixed heads capable of taking a moose. But if I were to go on a moose hunt, I think I would invest in some Iron Wills or Cutthroats or something similar.

Never hunted moose but I am a big fan of grizzlystik broadheads. I have been using the 125 ninja for a few years, great broadhead and holds a great edge.
