.029 sight pins or larger
Anyone know of any company who make sights with .029 or even larger sight pins?
I have an eye disease, cannot wear glasses and at this time my prescription contact in my right eye is as good as they can get my vision. I currently have .019 Black gold 1 pin and it is almost impossible to see the pin.
If possible take the fiber optic and push it into the site a little more .then heat the end with a lighter. And flatten it out more this will make it bigger. Use bottom of lighter to tap the optic when hot to flatten it.
That can work but if You burn the optic is will get darker brown black and it will be both digger and duller
Montana black Gold Makes .029 I believe
All Spot Hogg sights have .029 pins as an option.
Yea, my skills aren't to the point I would trust myself to do that lol.
I looked at Tru glo, spotted hog and black gold. All were sold out.
I shot them all emails to see what I could find too.
I also reached out to Lancaster archery to see what they may have.
I may look into a clarifier or a magnifier to see if that may help.
HHA offers .029 sights Cobra offers .029 sights
Thanks buffalo. I will check them out.
Lots of sights on Ebay and probably archerytalk.
The fiber is easy to melt. Why don’t you just pull a little of fiber out and melt it a touch and mushroom the tip? Probably a very easy and simple solution.
You might consider a verifier.
Just warm it so it’s malleable. Don’t burn it. It’s simple, effective, and free!
Thanks for the advice. I am going to look into that, might just be what I need.
It was an absolute game changer for me, bg!
From what I looked at online I could see how that could make a big difference.
As soon as I can drive, thanks to my eye surgery I am going to head to a local archery shop and check one out
