I'm in the process of doing my first Euro-mount & wondering what's everyone's preference on a skull hook for displaying on the wall?

I started using these stair handrail brackets for whitetail deer. They are super cheap, fit perfectly in the natural hole at the base of the skull, and you can get them in several colors.

Same as Barron.

Those handrail brackets work pretty well. I have a couple of the pedestal Skull Hookers and they work well. Just bought a wall mounted Skull Hooker for my son's recent buck.

But those stair handrail brackets don't have a cool name ;o)

So how do these prevent the skull twisting or spinning, especially with racks that are lopsided?

3” L bracket, $3 for a 2 pack at Ace Hardware.

All Skull Hooker, all the time.

Jim, that is precisely the problem with the handrail bracket. The skulls can twist and if you have a heavy, lopsided rack then one of those wouldn't work well.

Check out Rack Bracket. They're local to where I live, and I like the options they have for positioning.

I prefer the skull hooker due to the adjustability. You can position heads much better, to appear more natural to how the deer or other animal looked. For instance I have a couple black wildebeest skull mounts. They hold their head MUCH differently than a deer, requiring adjustability with the hanger.

What about displaying predator skulls: bears, mountain lions?

“What about displaying predator skulls: bears, mountain lions?”

I found an old curio cabinet at auction paid 15 bucks for it. I painted it inside/out satin black, then put a hidden rope of LED lights through it, to display some of my skulls.
