A buddy and I were laughing about this little guy. I'd say he green scores 8 and 4/8". Question: If a buck only has one antler, would his net score be zero?

My thoughts are that whatever he scores on one antler would have to be deducted since there is nothing to compare it to. True or false?

Technically yes……practically irrelevant. If he’s on someone’s hit list a good name would be “the FU buck”

Yea, you’re going to get killed on deductions there. Definitely scores better as a non-typical.

Left main beam looks scorable. Might net out around 3-6/8....... ;-)

he might net 1.14

This one might actually score higher!

Actually, the inside spread might push him into B & C territory. Hard to tell in the pic. It would have to be panel scored, of course.

He's a "Pope and really Young" or a "Boone and Crockpot"

I'd take him. How many can say they killed a 1 point? If you're going for the slam (doe, 1 pt, spike, 3 pt, 4 pt, 5 pt, etc.. up to 10 or 12 pt, that may be one of the hardest) :)

Tobywon... you forgot a button buck on your slam.

Blunt, I think it’s “Spoon and Crockpot.”

Holy smokes tobywon!!!! You just informed me that I am in possession of a "Slam" !!!

Does anyone know where I can register it? Maybe get a sponsor gig???

And yes Fuzz, I've got the button!

Fuzz, that's only included in the super slam :)

My apologies Greg...I should have said unofficial slam.....haha. I'd be interested in seeing them, especially a 3 point.

Correct … I was on the panel that scored this Kansas buck… This bucks main typical frame actually scored as a spike buck.

The left side only had a main beam..320s it ended up scoring I believe

Any ideas on a rough score for this Pennsylvania monster??

PSUhoss, looks like maybe a common base on those right tines. Might drop your net into the low single digits.

Was curious on the scoring of cactus bucks and things of that nature, Shug. I’m assuming most of those would be scored as spikes as well? Most of them I’ve seen pictures of are just masses with points going everywhere, so I’m assuming since they don’t have a frame it would be scored as spikes with abnormal points?

My understanding is that cactus bucks aren't eligible?

Did some digging and I’m assuming this would be the category the crazy cactus bucks fall under. It seems like it’s a case by case basis, as there are also a bunch of cactus bucks that are more “framey” being posted alongside official scores

One of my boys hunted this guy all fall—called him “Fugly.” He had several close encounters, but he’s still out there. Second antler must have a messed up base as it grew down and not up, but antler is a normal 4 point to match opposite side. (His eye looks like it’s in pain with the antler growth, but seems to do well in evading my boy!) How’d one score that?!
