Hard to believe that the applications will be accepted in less than a month! ..... With cabin fever setting in, and a nasty storm on its way, I figured that I'd hunker down and start looking at cool places to consider....

Wise decision. Supposed to be -38 here in Bozeman tomorrow. I'll be doing the same....

All of our elk have either died from COVID or escaped to NM. I’d go there or CO. :)

The diversity of habitat that Arizona elk live in is really cool. That state just has cool vegetation and topography.

You getting hit yet Jake?
I'm 30 miles southeast of Buffalo, they say it will be here by 8ish this am. 70 mile an hour winds, with lake effect snow... going to be a mess fer sure. Sweet dreams on your Elk adventures. scentman

We didn't get as much snow as a couple weeks ago, but the wind and ice accumulations have been impressive. 27 fatalities so far....from exposure to carbon monoxide poisoning to heart attacks.....4 wheeled vehicles were fined if caught on the road, but snowmobiles were bailing out a lot of stranded people. Mandatory evacuations near Sunset Bay. Temps are back above zero now....I actually put on my polar bear gear to check a few traps that I have out, and get the mail. Worked up a sweat doing so - by comparison, it just goes to show how severe the weather is in Nunavut (below zero, 30-70 mph winds, and I'm sweating...lol) Arizona Application period should be opening around January 5th from what I hear from one Az source.

Question. My lic is still valid, however would expire before the draw. Do I have to have a valid license at the time of the draw or just when applying?

License must be valid on the last day of the draw period, which I believe will be February 14 this time. If you're drawn, then you must purchase a license before your hunt.
