It seems now all they care about is food. The bucks here are already starting to drop their antlers.

During the rut. That's when the bucks are the most competitive/combative.

Last week of October seems to work best for me. Mike W and Les W seem to have it dialed in and would enjoy to hear their thoughts from Wisconsin.

Wisconsin here, the last five days of October, the first five days of November. Mornings of cold temps, calm to light winds seem to work best for me. I don't use a decoy. BC

Close but no cigar. I had this guy within 20 yards but such thick brush no way for a shot.. I tried every little trick I knew but he was smarter that me.

Duke, I start rattling a little around October 20th and pick up in intensity up through the first couple weeks of November. I don't rattle as much as Les. I was just looking back through some texts with Les and at one point on this past November 8th he had rattled in 8 bucks and had seen 11. By the end of the day he had seen 16 bucks. Not sure how many more he rattled in.
