No General in Area 7

I received it as-well. Thankful for this. Though the survey results were interesting. The way I read the email, it seems they said “despite the survey results, the additional comments made indicated moving it to a general unit was not supported.” Should be interesting to see their direction now.

Access I hope, that is what is needed.
I recc. giving those that draw Type 1 and Type 4 tags the option to purchase a reduced price cow elk tag, no draw. General would have made that area a real zoo. They did that change to an area across the highway and trespassing and poaching became a real issue right off the bat, it is a mostly private area though and not the public land amounts in 7. Elk also started moving to private earlier in season now too, to safer ground during the rifle season.

Especially the comments from the landowners. I know one who was very concerned about more trespassing if it went general.

I had not considered the increased trespassing if general. That makes sense.
