Proud Dad of the young slayer with is own bear. (On the right)
Same bear
Same bear
We killed eight bears. Three in the first two evenings. Five in two hours of the third evening, then none on the last night. The weather was bad and we struggled to find big bears. Part of that is due to a way over abundance of grizzlies in the valley corridor. Black bear numbers were down a third and grizzlies were up again to twenty two adults sighted and only one was a cub. I’m missing one or two bear pics.
And one more. Funny story on this one. He shot it and it ran up a tree. Shot it there twice more, then he was out of broadhead tipped arrows. It fell out of the tree but was still moving, so he quickly and with some trepidation, pulled an arrow from the bear and put another one through both lungs.
Bummer of a birthmark, Hal.
Damn Ambush.
Hard story to beat right there.
Good for you doing what you did.
19 14/16 Mikes Outfitting

Shot my dream boar last night up near remote Fort Vermillion Alberta hunting with Kevin Giesbrecht at Trophy North outfitters. Can't say enough good things about this hunt and I've been on allot of them! Didn't need to put logs under this guy for pics, 7' 3" and stout!
Dream boar, indeed! What a brute, 5575! Congrats!
Congrats Chad, that's a beautiful dream bear!
Thanks guys, thank God we checked trail cams one last time. We were packed and ready to head home yesterday when one of the cameras showed he'd moved 5 miles. Sat there right then and there from 10:30am and killed him at 9 pm!
5575. Is the black looking bear the same bear? Why the color difference? Also, did you cut that cape in half?!
I was thinking the same about the cape RC….
Same bear Ryan, in the morning sun the slight brown hairs really showed up for some reason. He looks pretty darn black. No we skinned him out for a full mount, its all there bud.
Looks like the cape is there, it’s just being skinned off the legs, and the flesh side is up.
5575. Roger that. Crazy how different it looked in the light.
Another great bear taken yesterday evening. Mike from Illinois made a perfect shot and the bear didn’t leave the bait site. 11 bears were seen that evening.

Looking like a great start. I'll throw mine and my nephews in and a link to my video. Mine had a nice white blaze

As many of you know from my past posts. I do hunting trips through my non-profit for kids who have suffered a life threatening illness. This week we did a bear hunt with Elk Springs Outfitters here in Idaho. I think this is going to be a great partnership. Our Huntress Kalista has been battling Leukemia and lil' annie oakley put 1 round right throught the heart on this beautiful bear. So blessed by this ministry. #choosejoy

Congrats to all the successful hunters, but there needs to be a course on how to take pics.
That last picture is hilarious. Miss the humour here!!! Congrats guys
Shame on you Ryan (Stickflingers), to make fun of another hunter trophy pic is childish. Especially for you, an Outfitter (Stickflingers). Whats worse is your an Emergency Medical Technician or something of the sort. ***The hunter was disabled at time of his hunt. By the way, where's your pictures Ryan (stickflinger). I talked to one of your guides last week. He explained why you dont have too many to post. He actually mocked your clients he guided. He said because of how close you have your hunters, you take many small bears. He called your trad hunters "Davy Crockett Wanabe's". His name is Chris, Winnipeg Tanner & Taxidermist.
***Rattling Junkie, unlike you I have a successful Bear Outfitting business to run, 49 years of Bear Hunting and counting. Pictures are not my expertise. Getting bears for my clients is. I can see why you work for Stickflingers. Arrogance is your specialty!! ***Your jealousy shows...
We are booked for Spring and Fall 2024, mostly with repeat clients and 30% booked for 2025. Next year will be my 50th year of working with Bear hunters, started at age of 12....
It's the pic man, of course you run a great operation, that's not in dispute. It's not hard to set up a pic that your clients can be proud of to share with their family and friends. Call me what you want.
Rattling Junkie David... dont need advice from an arrogant punk like you!! All you post is "Look at me look at me!! ***Last year you deleted your Bear pics on the 2022 bear thread after you had a little Sissy fit.
Hey Spike Buck,,, I honestly thought the picture was a joke. Really! Why would anyone take a picture like that? I didn’t even know what it was at first. I commented on the picture, not the hunter. Condemn me all you want but don’t play that sympathy game. How is anyone to know that by the picture. Not acceptable! Did you take that pic?
Now your back tracking.... As a professional EMT and Outfitter, you should be ashamed of yourself. As an Outfitter, you should know better to randomly post a negative comment. But I guess thats how all Arrogant key board Cowboys like you act!! Ryan, I cant believe you are an EMT or an Outfitter LOL
Backtracking? You continue to slam me, my business, my career, my friends, my guides and my clients all because you took a horrible picture of a pregnant sow draped over a rock. And somehow this is my fault? Do you hate your clients? Why would you not take a nice picture of them with their bear? Answer the question,,, did you take the pic?
Yes "Stickflingers" Ryan, your backtracking and getting mad.... Its not me slamming your service, Chris your guide is the one calling your Trad hunters " Davy Crockett Wannabe's". How you shoot many small bears, because you try to get them so close, bigger bears wont commit for a shot at your sites. Lack of commitment of bigger bears tells me you over hunt your sites...Lots of wounded... Maybe stop focusing on me and work to better your hunts. Stickflinger, Ryan, your guide says you count the arrows of your hunters before they are set on stand as you don't trust them. He mentioned why you picked the name Stickflingers as Its "flinging arrows" at Bears"... none of your business who took the picture. But yes it was me and no it wasn't a pregnant sow.... hunter was extremely happy with the picture. Back in 2009 you constantly bashed my business on Bowsite. You were not an outfitter then. 2023 and you and your lackey Rattling Junkie (David), still act like a total idiot!! Not worried what another Outfitter thinks (Stick flingers). Have a Good Night Ryan!!

Chris thanks for all the pictures and content over the years. You have added much t in the site and it is appreciated. Reconsider sticking around. You make the place better.
Spike buck don’t worry about what other people think just keep doing what your doing it’s working for u and if your hunters r happy that’s all that matters, we all have our problems let’s get along and keep our thoughts to ourselves. life’s to short here ,get ready for paradise I want to see all of yous there. Have a good Godly day folks.
