Wow. That looks like a red stag not an elk dam. Now just need to draw the tag lol

KY and VA are growing some huge elk. The way VA works is there are no preference points. Every entry has the same chance every time. Pure chance.

29-Mar-23
The way it should be for such a small herd. And, that’s coming from a guy who’s never won anything in any raffle or draw.

Kentucky has always got my money. Now VA. But, one day I’m going to win something. I’ll take the shots on the gun raffles and such to hunt elk close to home. :^)

I put in this year, but it is a true lottery...I think the young man that killed that elk got the chance from his dad who won a bidding auction from RMEF and it cost more than my house....

WV

You sound like you have the same luck as me. I hope one of us draws then lol

29-Mar-23
Me too. But, I’m rooting for me!!!!!!

However, if I draw Kentucky and VA, I’ll donate one of ‘em to you!!!!!! I’m a nice guy. And, I wouldn’t want to jinx myself. Elk hunting two states in one year, less then 2 hours from home, and less then 2 hours from one another would be more then I could process. :^)

How about this. If I draw both too, I will donate one to you then too.

Rick,

It was really easy, but you need to have an account.

Only drawing 5 this year in VA. Still have a shot at KY and PA as well. I won't know what to do if I draw a tag close to home and don't have to spend all my time out west.

Only one NR tag if I read it correctly.
