Killed my second Georgia bird yesterday morning. Called him and another gobbler in, didn’t see my Jake and hen decoys until they got close. As soon as they spotted them they ran to the jake and started strutting at 15 yards. After a minute they must have realized something was amiss and started waking off. I let the biggest one have a Rage Turkey Extreme but when he flew 10 yards and started strutting again I thought I had missed! Before I could nock another arrow they walked off into the woods. I really didn’t know what had happened but spotted my green Nockturnal and some feathers so I then knew I hit him. I was sick about it though knowing he had strutted afterwards…..couldn’t be hit hard, right??? I waited about 30 minutes and got up. My arrow had blood on it and then I found more drops and even more as he headed toward the wood line. Good blood and feathers were easy to follow and my spirits quickly picked up. My son, who was sitting in the same power line 150 yards witnessed the whole thing and joined me. He took 3 or 4 steps into the woods and I looked up to see him pumping his fist! The bird made it about 40 and piled up with a perfect shot right through the wing butt. Thank you Lord! 20 lbs, 11 1/4” beard and 1 1/8” spurs
