Big bears galore this spring at Lone Wolf Camps. First group got stuck behind the giant forest fires in Saskatchewan for a few days. But still did great with a short hunt. Fires behind us now hopefully….pics to come. One B&C down for sure !

Wow! That is an amazing amount of big bears!! How much area do you cover because you seem to do it every year? By boat on a lake? Sorry if it’s a dumb question because it’s right on your website or something, just curious?

Hi Mike The guys are on Carswell Lake just south of Lake Athabasca. They’re on the the only road that goes north out of La Loche. They run baits south of the cluff lake mine. Im not sure how many miles south of the lake they go but a long way. Its just super remote and bears just filter in from all the wilderness around that area. There’s a outfitter near La Loche and some fly in camps on North end of Athabasca . So nobody puts pressure at all on the bears they deal with. I first went in 2003 and camp average was 19.3 that year. 20 years later I haven’t added it up yet but high 19’s this year. The one bear limit and the guys getting everyone to shoot a boar and the remote lands just equals big bears year after year.
