Points only for me as I’m tagged out for this fall. But next year will be decision time to cash points for CO or UT deer. Could do both, but trying to ration my preference points since bonus have been so watered down by every state, plus tidal wave of newbies.

Should be an interesting hunt. We havent run into many archery deer or early season rifle folks. It is during muzzleloader season so we will be adding to the orange army, just able to shoot a bit further.....I hope. Bought a new rifle a few years ago just for this hunt (and any subsequent deer and elk hunts) Just now getting around to working up loads for it due to supply issues.

I drew a rifle tag in unit 119 with no points. I have access to a great ranch. This should be fun before bowhunting Kansas.

No luck on archery elk for the second year in a row since our area went to draw. My son drew both years! That said I put in for a point for deer first choice and drew a tag, first season, for Picketwire canyon as 2nd choice. Excited to see some new country and at least get to say I was hunting.

Unit 44 It was dry, no snow to push deer lower but they were rutting which was fun
