Finished my World Slam

Made the trip down to the Yucatan to bowhunt ocellated turkey this February past with Yukkutz. The trip and hunt went smooth and I was able to complete my 'World Slam'. We toured some Mayan Ruins and the city of Merida after the hunt was complete.

Congrats, I’m half way there myself, have a Goulds booked next spring. And will figure out a Osceola. Not sure I’ll ever have that Ocellated though.

Nicely done!! Occelated hunts are memorable especially when your hunting in Mayan country. Where I was there was some uncovered ruins near where we were camped. I was walking up a hill in the road. When I got to the crest off to my right there was a set of stairs and a stone wall coming out of the ground. One of our hunters got to see a Jaguar. Again great job and what an adventure in doing it.

That’s pretty dang cool, and you saved the most beautiful bird for last. I don’t know how many guys have done that, but I imagine it’s a fairly exclusive club. Big congrats Joshua !

I have watched several oscellated turkey hunt videos. No beard, 2"+ spurs, and a cool song instead of a gobble. Very well done.....congratulations. I remember hunting Coues deer in Mexico where I noticed there was a type of tree that had "turkey spur" growths coming out of its bark., The photo of your oscellated turkey shows that exact same type of tree. Pretty cool , but I'll bet that you didn't lean up against it ....LOL
