How's the camera action out there for everyone? Should be some good growth. I have a few I am watching, but certainly nothing that is WOW.

No cameras out yet, Matt. Generally don’t put ‘em out till after the 4th of July.

I keep them out all year, either on mineral blocks, my protein feeder, or food plots. I haven’t pulled cards in a while so my little buck pics are at least a month old.

I put 3 Moultrie Edge cameras out this year on the properties that are further away. Should be about a breakeven with cost to get there and time vs. cost of the cell plans. Also have 5 others out that I need to get a good soak on.

Looks like there's almost no hair at all on the back of that bucks ear. The deer flies and skeeters have to be brutal on those bald ears!

They have been awful here Lee….hopefully they don’t eat the third beam starting there ;). I’m more concerned with what that turns into over some hairless ears lol

Haven't any trailcams out but been road scouting beans and cornfields before they get too high the past couple weeks, (even yesterday evening) but haven't seen anything exceptional yet... Got a little basketrack hanging around my backyard though, and a yearling doe without a fawn is becoming pretty humanized to were she won't even spook when I'm on my back porch 20-some yards away... Heck, the other day my teckel dog ran a squirrel by her probably within 10 yards and she didn't even move... She just watched them run by, then looked back at me on the porch, then back to the direction of the dog and back to me a couple times, and went back to feeding... I'm like really... She was just like, "ho hum, same old, same old"...8^) Makes me wonder how many time I'm close to them just inside cover when I'm out in the yard tinkering or mowing... Have seen them sit pretty tight during season while on organized deer drives, but during these summer months they seem pretty tame... They know when they are being hunted... Smart animals...

Have my eye on this guy, but he was around last year too and never saw him during season.

I need to key in on this one. Going to do a little long distance scouting on the bean field he is next to. This picture is only about 40 yards off of public land so the pressure will be on him.

Really just getting started with cameras but I've been spending time behind the binos a couple dozen evenings already.
This 8 has my attention. I first noticed him in summer of 2021 (likely 2 then), and he occasionally made his way to my stomping grounds, but mostly late season. Picked up his sheds in april of 2022. Summer of 2022 he made a good jump with flyers off his left 2 and right 3. I last saw him the 2nd week of october (in his sanctuary), and never saw him again in person or on camera, nor found his sheds etc. Even the neighboring hunters said they had not seen him. Until 3 days ago. Boy oh boy I hope he doesn't go ghost this year. Be nice of him to show up in front of me... unless he snaps all of his tines off - which seems like a very real possibility!

A couple more good bucks that I would be happy to meet up with this year.

Kind of a neat pic. If you look closely, you can see a smaller buck’s shadow on the bigger one’s kill zone.
