CABELAS INSTINCT line of clothing.......

Anybody have it? How do you like it? It looks like a cheaper version of Sitka or Kuiu............... Just saw it in the new Cabela's Archery catalog and I'm pretty frugal,so I have a hard time spending $500 on a hunting jacket! ;-)

I have the Standhunter supreme jacket and pants. I've used them for a couple seasons and I really like the stuff. Not sure how durable it is if you hunt where there are a lot of sharp thorny brush, but it is comfortable, warm, quiet and fits me very well. I really like that it is easy to get burs off of if I get into them. I can use it on those days where it starts out below 32 degrees (with proper layering) and highs hit 50s. My wife got me the really warm parka and bibs for this past Christmas but I haven't had the chance to use it yet so can't comment on it other than it will be warm, but heavy.

I have the glassing pants and a 1/4 zip top. They are nice. You say you want to save money….But for the same money, I’d buy Sitka or SKRE camo on sale. You get more options for sizing and a better fit. SKRE is very nice.

I field tested most of it before it went to the catalogs. I was never in any thorny terrain so I can't speak to that. I rejected several pieces that looked cool but were poorly designed. What I can say is that it is good quality, well-made, durable, and fits true to size.

Just let me know when any of these outfits starts making their stuff in small/extra small, or maybe better yet kids’ sizes, because those are always a lot cheaper ;)

I’ve enjoyed the Berber fleece line. There’s better, but it’s a good price point.

blood- I always look for the good stuff first, But I never seem to find my size on sale! : (
