Last Minute Idaho Frank Church Openings

If you are still looking for a great, affordable guided hunt....here is a great opportunity. One of our outfitters has openings for archery hunts in the Frank Church Wilderness - 2 spots 9/7 to 9/13 and 1 spot 9/24 to 9/30. This is a horseback hunt, approximately 12 miles back into the Church with the option of spiking out and hunting nomad style from there. GREAT opportunity rate on 300" bulls with bulls up 370" harvested....9 misses last year so make your shot count. Outfitter allocated tags - 5-6 hour horseback ride pack in - 7 days hunts with day 1 and day 2 dedicated to packing in and out. $7200 and that includes the tag...you just pay for your ID hunting license. 2x1 hunt on 9/7 is $6200 or 2 1x1 hunts are available as well. I agree, and it's at a pretty darn good price point as well. This hunt would be quite the adventure.

So five days of hunting? Is that correct?
Also, what is considered an "opportunity" for a bowhunter? The nine misses last year sort of raises a flag..

Opportunity means coming to full draw... Fellas miss...I have another outfitter that had 5 misses last year between 35-50 yards on mule deer from 170" to 200." In this case...the average shot on this elk hunt is about 30 yards and the outfitter doesn't like shots over 45.

Full draw doesn't me anything with me....I draw before the opportunity usually.

Yep, i was at full draw on a cow at 20 and a huge 6x6 bull at 66 two weeks ago in Wyoming. Neither shot happened. Crap happened both times to take away my "opportunity" . It was called Thermals or something stupid like that. :)
