Is there a bino harness with a built-in handgun holster available? I saw one in a photo somewhere in the distant past.

I use a Marsupial Gear with their holster attached to the bottom and absolutely love it. I’d stay away from the kydex (despite loving them for concealed carry) because sometimes I change between putting a G19 and G20 in it and both fit great, whereas kydex holsters are molded to one specific pistol. Great for IWB concealed carry but not great for situations where you might change pistols depending on the situation.

Kifaru and JC Custom Kydex collaborated on a holster to fit the new bino harness. Marsupial makes a soft holster for their harnesses. They also collaborated with Razco Kydex to make one to attach under the harness with an additional strap. The Glock holsters are sold out on their website, but Razco has them on theirs. I am thinking of getting the Razco for my Marsupial for my Glock 20 instead of keeping my pistol attached to my waist belt on pack.

FWIW, I tried a setup like the one above and didn’t like it for a few reasons. Heavy, flops a bit and not as clean of a draw.
Plus, I shoot from the hip- its intuitive…so I put it on my pack belt.

My hand Gun weighs 1lb, 8oz. I don’t think it would flop around much if at all while l was hiking. I like the setup but not sure how easy the gun could be removed in a hurry because it’s so light . Would l have hold the bino harness with one hand and pull the gun out with other? Much rather use only the draw hand. (It’s a Smith 40cal. M&P)

I can draw mine one handed no problem in the Marsupial gear, both the G19 and the G20. How much it flops/twists depends on how tight the straps of your bino harness are. If the bino harness is cinched up, the holster will be tight too. Mine doesn’t flop at all while hiking and doesn’t torque a weird way when I draw. I was in your shoes for years before settling on the Marsupial and have zero regrets.

There a few bino pack holsters available on the internet. I carry my binos on a strap not in a bino pack. If l switch to using a bino pack to accommodate the holster feature, will it interfere with a camping backpack l carry? Seems like a lot of straps and buckles just to be able to access a handgun from your chest. Anybody experience a problem when wearing a backpack and a chest bino pack with the holster attachment?
