Would like to do an archery Yukon moose hunt in the next couple years. Looking for an outfitter that caters to archery. Due to time and living on the east coast not interested in trying without a guide or outfitter. Thanks in advance

You asking about moose outfitters in the Yukon, or hunting Alaska-Yukon moose? If the latter, Denali Hunts (Stan Parkerson) is based out of Fairbanks, Ak. He caters specifically to archery only hunters for moose, grizzly and black bears. I’ve hunted moose and grizzly with him, and was successful on both hunts with him. I highly recommend him.

I’d like to mention Cesar Lake Outfitters.
I hunted with them last September. The hunt recap is here on Bowsite.

These 3 are among the very best moose outfitters in Alaska/Yukon. Another good alternatives are : Dickson and also Shawn Raymond

Take a look at Slim's Cabins in Northeastern Saskatchewan. I will be guiding for them for the first time. I will be heading up at the end of August to do my scouting and prep work for this year's hunt

Thanks to everyone that replied. I have been talking to Stan Parkerson and have decided to go with him. He only takes archery hunters so that really appealed to me. Hopefully story and pics next September!!!!

Been looking into the same thing for in the near future.
Can someone explain trophy fees? I see it a lot but never with any details.

Stan Parkinson would be my first choice too. Top shelf moose area and with a guide that’s a hard core bowhunter.

Trophy fee: Sometimes it’s paid when you kill your primary species. It’s a way for outfitters to book more expensive hunts. For example you might book a stone sheep hunt that costs $25,000 for the hunt with a $10,000 trophy fee if you punch your tag.
On other hunts the trophy fee is for adding an animal. For example you might book a moose hunt for $25,000 and carry a grizzly tag. If you kill the moose you pay no extra fee. But if you’re moose hunting and you kill a grizzly you would pay a trophy fee for that second animal whatever that amount may be.

Stan is fantastic, known him since I was in the 8th grade shooting in the archery club with him in Fairbanks. He was one of the guys I always looked up to. Top shelf, as are several of the other outfitters listed here.

Glad you guys had good luck with Stan Parkerson. A friend and I hunted with him, for moose 4-5 years ago. Neither of us got a shot at a moose. I came somewhat close once to getting a shot. My friend never was inside of 100 yards from a moose. And yes, I know that’s why it’s called “hunting.”
