I pulled a card from a camera today and as I was going through it, I saw a deer with something on her nose but each picture was from a distance. I then found a close up of her!!! Not sure what happened??? Maybe a head shot gone bad last rifle season by a neighbor or hit by a car? She is on camera a few times over the past few weeks. She doesn't look sick, maybe a little thinner than other deer.

The question is would you shoot her if given the chance and would you eat the meat?

It's a sun visor, needs something with all the climate change going on.would I shoot her? Yes. Would I eat the meat? Depends on what the biologist says.

Geeeeeeze, yeah that looks like a head shot gone bad to me. I wouldn't have an issue eating the meat. She's obviously made it through the winter and is healthy for all intents and purposes. man that's rough.

Been getting pix of one doe with a dead, bulged out eye. Not that bad, but still... she's always with her sister, and I suspect she won't be easy to bag.

Damn.Is she fat does she have a fawn? That dead tissue will eventually slough and scar.Id love to see progressive pictures this year.

Ouch that’s rough. Ya I’d kill her in a minute. However like you noted, doesn’t seem to be affecting her to badly.

She made it this far - she is not going to die soon. Manage her like any other doe. If you need does killed then kill her. If not see what she looks like come fall. I would not be surprised if she has fawns. Whitetails are one tough animal. Her meat is fine.

I have not seen a fawn on camera with her. The other does have their fawns with them.

I’m with John I’m rooting for her.

I am impressed by the toughness for sure, but putterdown for sure. I don’t see how admiration is consistent with wishing any further suffering on the poor thing.

Head shots are just Stupid.

Wonder if she can smell? I’d most likely pass.
