Great buck. Wish there was a pic without the camera games.

Exactly, great buck, but no need to “long arm” it.

Great buck, and a classic "Chuck Adams pose". ;-)
What's up with those odd growths on the buck's forehead?

the head is on his knee, and he is holding it up and off the ground. how is he long arming it? good grief.
i would prefer post velvet but nice rack nonetheless! odd looking warts between his eyes, or whatever they are.

He's not long arming. It's just camera position used.

Dream buck! Are the antlers growing out of his face considered non-typical points? ;-)

I don’t believe a man has to long arm a 260 inch buck. Amazing animal . Congrats to the Hunter.!!!

For those that don't like the velvet, these auction tag holders almost always take them in the velvet because they get to hunt out of season. They can't take the risk of "their" buck being killed when the archery seasons open in a few weeks, so they kill them before any actual hunting seasons open each year.

No need for the camera angles, I picture from further back for perspective would be nice. Awesome deer!

I don’t think that’s a long arm photo but a wide angle lens on a pro level camera. I had a friend take a few with a 280” bull that made him look 340”. Either way it’s a damn heart stopper buck.

Great buck, congrats to hunter,,, but I too curious about the velvet growing out of the face...
Man, that's some flat land to get within bow range of a buck like that, great job...

Zbone, highly doubt it dropped right there. Probably chose that spot so the open sky could highlight the rack. Imagine a mountain behind the deer. It would probably take away from the quality of the photo some IMO.

My buddy that owns Capture the Hunt Taxidermy out of Ogden has a couple of huge mule deer in right now…and some monster Coues.
There are some giant deer being killed….
