Anyone familiar with This Taxidermy business? With CWD rules prohibiting bringing heads back to MN, was wondering if this would be a good place to bring a nice buck.

Is it that you can’t bring heads back or they have to be treated? I know MB has rules as well, and when I went to Montana I couldn’t bring a head back that wasn’t treated. I just bought by Single burner, peroxide and a propane tank and boiled it off in the field. Boiled it, hit a car wash, blasted it off, laid the peroxide on, and went and tried to kill a doe for a day. Packed up and went home and my euro was 100% wall ready. Border agent was very impressed. She said you can’t imagine what I see come through here lol.

This is how I brought it home. About an hour of effort, just needs some forethought.

That looks great! I could actually learn to cape my animals then saw the rack off and bring it back. But if I want a full head mount, if someone there can do a good job, I'm fine with leaving the head out where I am hunting. The last buck I shot in IA I left with Raccoon Valley Taxidermy and it turned out great.

My Sitka Blacktail from Kodiak. Imagine if someone competent other than me had caped it! Ha!
