Reports of a fatal crash late Wednesday. Wreckage found in bad spot Thursday. Reports say survival of anyone onboard is unlikely.

No info yet as to how many were aboard and no names released as of yet.

Sorry to hear that. Without many roads, the plane has become the "auto" in Alaska. Stats: In 2018, Alaska suffered nine plane related fatal accidents, eight in 2017, 12 in 2016, and 11 in 2015. Alaska's 12 fatal 2016 plane wrecks amount to 5.4% of the national total. This is a huge number in a state that is home to less than 1% of the U.S. population.
