A freind of mine drew this deer tag. He has had a friends private land spot for years. And they usually have a good hunt and are successful.
Should he abandon his private land and hunt the refuge?
I see he joined and posted on this subject. Sorry.

No way to possibly know where his opportunities best lie.Most farms will hunt better with certain winds.I would most certainly scout the public to balance my sets so I have multiple great sets for all winds.Use water access to reduce your impact for sure.
