Cape Buffalo taken August 18, 2023 Limpopo Province with Afrika Barrel and Bow Safari. Easton Dangerous Game arrow with 150 grain VPA Single Bevel Broadhead and FOB Fletching. Total arrow weight 748 grains at 219 fps. Near broadside shot at 20 yards ambush at waterhole, not from blind. Arrow dead centered a rib on near side, see photo, penetrated the heart then hit a rib on far side. Arrow broke in three parts one of which was recovered in the heart, see photo, the other two on the ground within 30 yards of impact point. Note the crack in the rib either side of where the arrow went through the near side rib. Recovery was 120 yards.

Bou'bound, FOB requires a drop away rest. Most but not all drop aways can be adjusted to clear the FOB. I've been using them since they first hit the market in about 204 and never even considered going back to conventional fletching. Check their website for information.

Zbone, Yes, single bevel. One single bevel advantage is that it does crack bones.

Thanks Stubbleduck, amzing penetration thanks for sharing.... From the photo couldn't tell if it was black or green coating on the VPA.... Was curious if it was the Black Oxide coated CTS (High Carbon Tool Steel), or the Black Oxide coated Premium Grade Tool Steel (PTS)?
