Gave up cigarettes awhile back and went to vapes for my nicotine addiction. Anyone ever considered vapes impact on bear hunting. You can get licorice, bacon, and all manner of fruity flavors/scents
Fuzzy I heard that at least one bear liked cocaine lol Lewis
Man, those flavors are what messes up your lungs but I would think they might come check you out in the stand, lol. If they made one that you don't have to pull on to get smoking might be great idea. The vapors do dissipate fast though.
You can actually blow thru the charger /vent on the disposable types
That's an interesting angle you've brought up on bear hunting and vapes! First off, congrats on giving up cigarettes; switching to vapes is a step in the right direction. Now, the impact of vapes on bear hunting is something I haven't considered before, but it's intriguing. I've read that bears have an incredible sense of smell, and some of these vape juices like licorice, bacon, and fruity flavors could be pretty tempting or misleading to a bear, depending on how you look at it.
If you're in the market for a new vape, you might want to check out thebest vapes 2023 by Innokin. They have a range of options that provide excellent flavor and nicotine satisfaction, so maybe you could find one that's bear-friendly, or at least not bear-attracting!
Wasn't so long ago that incense sticks were all the rage for hunting. "Ten Miles Of Dead Fish" was for bears as I recall. Got a vape that smells like that?
tfic
Tried one of those incense sticks (from Tinks!). Fell asleep leaning against my tree. Woke up and—bam!—I’m wearing a bandanna and tie-dyed shirt, with an overwhelming urge to vote for Bernie Sanders. Crazy.
Vaping is just as bad as cigarettes. Quit by any means possible. You’ll be glad you did.
you have two concerns. your health and bear sightings.
prioritize wisely.
Jebidiah, did you move to Vermont (or wherever that crazy sob is from) ? ;-)
LORDY LORDY
No wonder the country is in trouble!!
I use “rutting buck” suboxone and as a cover scent “turpentine kratum.” I will report back once they release me from this ward.
I have 3 buds. All late 60s, all have COPD, and it's sad. My doctor said have an occasional cigar, but Vaping is not good. I hope the best for you. Stay well
It will pin point you. Look right at you. Then who knows? ;-) ;-)
Jebediah....that's funny.
I'm touched by the honest concern for my health. Thanks for the opinions. "Ten miles of dead fish" sounds like something you'd smell in an urban street setting.
Cecil " ten miles of dead fish" you use that in your stand and the wind blows the wrong way it'll be ten miles of dead Fuzzy just saying lol
By the way, my older sister passed away at 61 years old from pneumonia/COPD (non-COVID) three days before I started this thread. She Never smoked tobacco or any other substances. Didn't drink, no recreational drugs. Again, thanks for the concern but I'll take a puff when I want.
Good luck bear hunting fuzzy. Some of the guys I hunt with who live near you still smoke. I am always amazed how they can walk those hills the way they do and still smoke. But most of them when they hit their 60's the problems arise. A good amount of them are or were coal miners so they already have strikes against them.
Thanks Fred good luck you you as well.
It was harder for me to quit vaping than it was to quit cigarettes'. But they do make plenty of candy smelling flavors.
I started chewing tobacco instead of smoking recently, I'm thinking it's better to have a dip going while waiting than stopping for a smoke between sets
Amazing! I quit nagging people about the choices that seriously damage their health, and often lead to early death.
I'm waiting on Tink's #69 vape solution...8^)))
This thread is really about addiction, not hunting. I'm 70. I was heavily addicted to Cope for twenty years. I went NOWHERE without that got damn can of Cope. Every waking hour I had that nasty chew in my mouth, meals excepted.
I quit 20 years ago. Cold turkey. That was EXTREMELY tough at the start. Countless times I passed a gas station and had to sometimes yell at myself, 'You weak ass addict Pass on by'.
Twenty years ago I beat that got damn Cope addiction. So can you. BTW cig addiction killed both my parents. Dad at 56 and Mom at 59. Tobacco addiction will kill you.
I know zip about vapes. I do know that people that vape are addicts, plane and simple. Deeply Inhaling that poison into your lungs has got to be bad long term. IMO the only thing that should get inhaled is air. Period. No cigars no pipes no cigs, vapes, pot.
Sorry for the lecture but that's my opinion.
Bear vapes will only make the hunter feel like it will bring in or hide the hunters scent... In reality the Bear knows better.
I have to wonder how close y'all wanna get to them black furry buggers...
Bob, congratulations on kicking the habit.
Not a Vape...but I can attest to chewing tobacco working....or maybe it was that 2 day old dead elk carcass....not sure.
The bear knows you’re there. Chris is right!!
I’ve heard about bear-hunting vapes, and honestly, they sound pretty interesting. It’s a nice way to chill after a long day or even before heading out on a hunt. The flavors can be really enjoyable, too. When it comes to
thc vapes , I've found them to be a great option for relaxation without the smoke. Know your area's laws if you're considering using them for a bear hunting trip. Some places have strict rules about using cannabis while hunting. But if everything checks out, it could add to the experience!
Astonishing to me that we have Nigerian politicians finding their way all the way to BowSite to talk about vaping as an aid to bear hunting!! Wonders never cease!!
