New House Skinning Setup

My wife bought me one of those hitch mounted skinning hoists for Christmas last year. I had never used one of these until I hauled it to Wyoming for my antelope hunt. We took 3 goats out whole and had them on the skinner in 30 minutes or so. It worked so well that I decided to rig up a “receiver to use at the house. It took a treated 2x6, some leftover carriage bolts I used on my deck and my table saw to fabricate. I wanted the tube to slide in as high as possible so that when the deer is hanging dogs will be unable to reach it. I will drill the horizontal tube so that I can relocate the winch. If and when I use it mounted to the truck I can just relocate the winch to the vertical tube as pictured.

The wooden bracket is bolted on. I will only add it to the post when I want to hang a deer or possibly just leave it attached for the fall.

One little add on that this thing has are these little forks at the top. I had never used one of these and actually skinned two antelope before I happened on to what those forks do. When you crank the animal up all the way it holds it still and keeps it from twisting. Works great attached to the truck hitch. It will not work mounted like this.
