Just watching AG Garland lying and obfuscating, avoiding answering direct questions concerning Hunter Biden's crimes and the investigation by Special Councel Weiche.

Does anyone think this was not the intention from the start? To appoint a special counsel in order to delay any resulting tax evasion charges or bribery charges and avoid answering questions "because it's an ongoing investigation ".

What an obvious lying crook Garland is! How do these lowlife trash-out-of-hell evil son's get to the highest levels of our government? Thank God Garland was not allowed to have a lifetime seat on the US Supreme Court. If McConnell dies without another act in the Senate, avoiding giving Garland 's nomination a hearing is enough to at least partially offset the damage he has otherwise brought on our nation.

From: fdp

"To appoint a special counsel"...the special counsel appointed is the special counsel that the right requested.

The Attorney General has no obligation to share information about an ongoing investigation with Congress. And especially in a publicly televised hearing.

From: spike78
20-Sep-23
I was watching the Glenn Beck podcast with an ATF agent whistleblower for Fast and Furious and he said those congressional hearings are all show as he was a part of one. He said nothing will EVER happen. If you want to be pissed off watch that Glenn Beck interview it will make your jaw drop on how truly corrupt our government is and always was.

"...will make your jaw drop on how truly corrupt our government is and always was."

And many, including many on Bowsite, take a knee to that same corrupt government with awe and reverence in hopes of keeping what few petty possessions they have. 2nd homes in the mountains, hunting properties, stuff...

From: RK

Yep Garland of course takes that it's an ongoing investigation crap to new levels including crime in general and the border and the January 6 witch hunt

We damn sure dodged a bullet with him and the Supreme Court.

Garland reminds me of the perfect crime family attorney

"And many, including many on Bowsite, take a knee to that same corrupt government with awe and reverence".....I think that's a crock. It's a popular and oft repeated statement on here, but it's mostly garbage.

From: drycreek

fdp, it depends on who is in power doesn’t it. You will defend this corrupt administration at every level and every turn, so tell us how it’s a crock. We wait with bated breath……

From: fdp

"it d epends on who is in power doesn’t it. You will defend this corrupt administration at every level and every turn,"....no it doesn't as a matter of fact. No more and maybe less so then it is for you other guys who constantly bitch and complain. That's an example of "it depends on who is in power". Particularly so in the case of sundownder and some other folks on here. But, I didn't defend anybody. I just simply made a statement.

And the "crock" is the inference that a lot of people on here bow down to the government. Folks behave differently to different stimuli. Take you for instance and your post. Kind of goofy actually.

Because someone doesn't start some type of dumb political thread 2 or 3 times a week, or rant and rave and call people names doesn't mean they are bowing down to anyone or anything at all. It's just your perception, which is fine.

From: drycreek
20-Sep-23
If your perception is that these threads are dumb, simply pass them by. Instead, you jump in to give us your two cents. Kind of two faced actually. ;-)

From: fdp
20-Sep-23
Actually it isn't 2 faced at all. I've made it clear for a long time that these types of threads are for the most part just something I find entertaining.

And, that being the case, there are times when I enjoy contributing to the entertainment. :)

From: RK
20-Sep-23
Fdp. Actually you just recently started "I'm just here for the entertainment" angle. But if that is your perception that's fine also. :)

Is it just me but I don’t give a fiddler’s fart about Hunter Biden. I would like to get my Social Security check next month. The House ought to get its priorities together instead of this political BS. Charge Hunter and Joe Biden if there is evidence they committed a crime or let them go. Same goes for Trump, if he’s found guilty than treat him like they’d treat you or me.

I’m embarrassed for the folks making excuses for this corruption.

When the entire system is corrupted, we all lose. I suppose its a “Birds of a feather….” Scenario as the Democrats have some absolute idiots in key positions; Rachel Levine, Sam Brinnel, the interior and energy secretaries…and the Transportation sec Buttigeig.

The stupidity of these people is beyond belief…..and the Dem defenders are clueless. Did you see Buttigegs latest, He wants to limit semi trucks to the exact same speed. Talk about a total lack of understanding the industry you are in charge of ( and its across the board with the Biden admin) Get ready for more traffic jams when trucks get stuck side by side and can’t pass each other.

Law and order. You keep using that phrase. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Masses of people overwhelming stores, stealing everything, major stores closing because of crime, Feds telling workers to WFH because coming in is unsafe. “lets not forget...some here think a vote for Trump was a vote for 'law and order'.”

I don’t recall trump ever supporting the defunding of the police, or joining Harris in contributing money to bail out rioters that looted and burned cities. As I recall he tried to persuade Pelosi to bring in extra security for J6, which she pompously declined. He even tried to build “the wall” to keep out the rash of illegal aliens that are rife with criminal activities. You ignore china joes potential criminal dealings, then complain that the guy you hate is the biggest criminal in politics. You’re blinded by vigilante justice, while the real criminals run amok. Yes 91 charges for Trump and not one for Hilary or Biden. It's unbelievable that some people can't see the correlation. So, BB1, have you looked at the state of the GOP in Mass. lately? Not even a bad joke, hardly worth a bumper sticker.

I voted for Republicans last time out, when they *bothered* to run a candidate for a particular office. Meanwhile Richie Neal runs un-opposed time and again. The GOP can't sell an *idea* here. (But libertarian-leaning independents are the problem, right?)

I certainly don't come on here to engage anyone on things that are not going to change anything and the efforts just become a chest pounding event. I pretty much know if you and the 81 million others that voted for this shit show were so smart, you and they would have never voted for the feeble one.

Well it's Friday and I know you will be around all weekend but I'm heading out for our SEND MORE to NEW YORK that begins this afternoon. It's a Dove hunt for 100 people that the proceeds all go to renting more Busses to send more illegals to the Big Apple

speaking of "law and order"...

Dallas mayor leaves Democratic Party, switches to GOP: 'American cities need Republicans'"

"The mayor of one of the largest cities in the U.S. announced in a Friday op-ed that he is leaving the Democratic Party and becoming a Republican.

In a Wall Street Journal op-ed with the headline "America’s Cities Need Republicans, and I’m Becoming One," Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson explains that he is leaving the Democratic Party because "the future of America’s great urban centers depends on the willingness of the nation’s mayors to champion law and order and practice fiscal conservatism."

"Our cities desperately need the genuine commitment to these principles (as opposed to the inconsistent, poll-driven commitment of many Democrats) that has long been a defining characteristic of the GOP," Johnson wrote. "

22-Sep-23
"So Ricky, if he's acquitted of 89 of 91 charges will you proclaim him 'innocent'?"

no...id proclaim that a jury found him not guilty of 89 of the 91 charges...and id look at the ones he was found guilty of and make my decision about whether or not they were worth getting my shorts in a bunch over.

I have no doubt he will be found guilty of something given the jurisdictions and jury pools. the only thing that will matter is what happens on appeal.

theres a reason why they say “show me the man and I’ll find you the crime”

Latest; Joe Biden claimed Thursday that it is really Republicans that are to blame for undermining the security of the southern border, despite a massive surge in numbers of illegal immigrants coming across under his administration.

How utterly stupid does one have to be to fall for this?

It's embarrassing the crap coming out of Bidens mouth....and there are still people defending him- unbelievable. What's worse is that many of these defenders are teachers and prof's instilling their prejudice into our schoolchildren.

Just more dirty Democrat corruption;

The Washington Examiner reported:

A third IRS official confirmed that Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss faced roadblocks when attempting to bring charges against Hunter Biden, contradicting denials issued Wednesday by Attorney General Merrick Garland.

IRS Director of Field Operations Michael Batdorf told the House Ways and Means Committee in a closed-door interview on Sept. 12 that he felt “frustrated” by the refusal of the Justice Department to approve tax charges that IRS agents viewed as well-supported by evidence, according to a transcript of the interview obtained by the Washington Examiner.

He also said the IRS removed agent Gary Shapley, a whistleblower, from the Hunter Biden case at the direction of Weiss despite having done nothing wrong.

And there is plenty of evidence to the contrary, yet, that doesn’t seem to interest you, or the trump haters in the Democratic Party, in the least. In the same way you have convicted trump in your own mind, you disregard potential wrong doing of the remaining “crooks”. ( like Nancy Pelosi) Until you prove that the DOJ is truly “unbiased”, your one sided opinion, and “delight” is baseless. Not ONCE have you expressed genuine concern of any other swamp creatures/crooks/liars ( like Adam Schiff) being involved in duping the American people…including you. That in itself tells a lot about your true concerns as to what this country is dealing with when it comes to the people in power. Your silence speaks volumes as to what you really care about when it comes to us common folks and our well being.

I know you don’t understand, but I stand by my opinion. I also know plenty of others that do as well. I’ll give you credit for standing your ground, but I know you aren’t as blind as you portray yourself to be.

Change the subject, but is Pelosi being investigated?

"Until you prove that the DOJ is truly “unbiased”, your one sided opinion, and “delight” is baseless. "

Can't see the connection here. They're indicting a Senator, a Democrat, but somehow anybody must 'prove' the DOJ is 'unbiased'? Sure, many *within* the dept. are biased. Who hired them?

Sorry, I didn't realize that I have to monitor and speak about about every chicken-crap politician YOU have in your sights. As for 'us common folks and our well-being', does it not occur that living where I do puts me in other battles? Like our state's bleeping HR4420?
