One of our awesome KS RIO outfitters is offering a youth turkey special for spring, 2024. Turkey hunts are normally priced at $2,300 for a 3-day hunt, including lodging, meals and fully guided. Any youth, 15 years of age or younger who is hunting their first turkey will only be charged $500 for the entire hunt. This is a great opportunity for a family turkey hunt at a great price. I appreciate you posting all of these hunts, I truly do. That said, there are no Rio's in Solomon, KS...and the numbers of turkeys are not "unreal", they're in a huge decline. See other thread on KS canceling the Fall Season this year.

I appreciate your input, but there ARE Rio turkey out of Solomon, KS and I can only speak for this outfitter's success rates and population on their private ground.

According to this map from NWTF that area is Rio country. $500 seems like a good deal. $2300 for a 3 day turkey hunt seems ridiculous.

The other $1800 must be for the hookers since they can't offer those to the kids, they get for a more reasonable price. ;)

Haha...you guys are great. First...these are not hybrids, although we work with outfitters that specifically hunt hybrid Meriam/Rios...these are not. Regarding the price...$2300 for a guided hunt with meals and lodging is square on the price point for market value. But we don't set prices and just connect hunters with hunts that check their boxes. Yes...$500 is a great deal for a youth hunt price of this caliber.

Ok...first, this a debate free thread posted by a paying sponsor for Bowsite. Second, I didn't post that map. Third, I am not saying that hybrid birds do not exist, in fact, we book for outfitters that advertise hybrid hunts. This hunt is not one of those hunts.
