Opening Day 2023. I did a speed Scout through public and found some good runs under acorns. Massachusetts has some good hunters! Me and my two new friends are all set up within 100 yards of each other. This was more of a practice run getting my gear in order. Still- to watch this fumbling around with a headlamp20 yards from me on the ground for 20 minutes is a little irritating. I mean 6am and you’re just coming in?

I believe I have really impressed the other hunters with my rattling skills. I’m the buddy rich of plastic antlers. Most likely they are grateful they set up so close to me!

Noob, that's a bummer... But the nature of opening day eastern mass public. It's like squeezing 20,000 hunters into 1000 acres ha ha ha! Oh, that was me to the left. (KIDDING!)

I remember one year I set up a stand for a new hunter. We set his GPS up so he wouldn't miss the spot. For some minutes he was walking in circles because it keep changing direction headings . It was about a 60 foot circle. Amusing now. Irritating at the time.
