My daughter Gracie is a real girly, girl. Very sweet, soft, and gentle. I thought she would be the least likely of my kids to really like hunting. Surprisingly, (and enjoyably) she has really taken to it, and loves bowhunting. She has taken quite a few with her gun, but this was her first year bowhunting. After 4 trips to the stand, she finally connected. Shot was a bit high, but that is all part of the learning experience. Proud dad moment for sure!

That’s awesome! Congrats to both of you. I recall “vividly” my sons first archery deer. That was over 30 years ago. He killed another, last weekend.

Congratulations to all of you. We do not see many youth use bows and arrows in my part of the country. Almost all scoped crossbows, even in adults. Very nice !

i remember my daughters first deer as if it happened yesterday. she kind of let hunting go when she went off to college but now that she has a boyfriend that is an avid hunter...looks like things might be different.
