Finished ARROW WEIGHT for deer ???

What is your finished arrow weight for deer and do you shoot mechanical heads with it?
Looking for a three digit number and a two or three letter word. No need to go into detail on the components, etc.
428 grains Mech and fixed
450 give or take a few, mechanical
420-550, depending on the bow. No mechs.
Was shooting 408 and 440 off and on, and yes with exp. with no issues. Have recently changed to 464, yes.
465 or 490 depending on the head. Yes.

Mine usually wound up 450 to 465 depending on shaft, and no mechs for deer.
420 and shoot both fixed and mechanical.

Corax they do make threaded adapters that glue on tapered shafts

IMO a fixed blade is putting you at a disadvantage when it comes to whitetail hunting

I guest a fixed-blade head is a “disadvantage” or not depends on the shots you’re willing to take….

410 finished weight broadhead Magnus Buzzcut.
480gr with Exodus swept 100 gr included and just had complete passthrough at 42 yds on a bull . Only shooting 60lbs.
550 gr. for everything. No. (except turkey).

my takeaway is a fair number of guys are using lighter arrows than I thought and many are using them with mechanicals. Granted it is just for smaller deer size game but still interesting. My current set up is 535 for both fixed and mechanical but that had been used for moose elk musk ox and bear as well as deer.
I can go lighter flatter for deer and likely will. Can for bear too but at known short ranges for baited bear the heavy arrows are fine.
Gotcha. Just keep in mind - an arrow isn’t heavy if you shoot it fast.
Those light arrows with a mechanical work well on more than just deer…
for what else Nick other than bear, pronghorn, smaller hogs?
