Hey all,

I'm a huge fan of Predator's Fall Gray camo & am going to need to replace my true cold weather gear here in the next year or so (20 degrees & under).

I currently have the original Sitka Fanatic set, and while it's been quite warm, it's insanely bulky + I can't stand the camo pattern. For what it's designed for it works pretty well, however after 8 some odd years of pretty heavy use it doesn't seem to be as warm as it once was.

In theory i'd just buy the new Fanatic set, but if i'm spending that kind of $ I want it in a pattern that I actually like, that blue and white berber fleece is awful looking to me.

So- i'm on the lookout for the company that has the warmest windproof clothing in Predator Fall Gray.

Thanks!

Gray wolf woolens would probably be it.

HEATER BODY SUIT IN PREDATOR FALL GREY.

Didn’t realize the HBS came in Fall Gray that’s cool.

I don’t know how I feel about it, I’m a bowhunter & will be using my trad bow come late season, looks cumbersome & unwieldy coming from someone who’s never used it

I’m a huge fan of the pattern as well. That said the new Fanatic is the best thing going for whitetails IMO. As much as I love Predator I really don’t think the pattern is very important and it the Elevated II seems to work juuuuuuust fine.

Anybody know the difference from the original Fanatic set to the new one?

Check out the fleece parka from Day One (made-to-order in USA). It's available in Predator Fall Grey. I have the parka in ASAT camo along with the optional Windstopper insert. It is hands-down my favorite piece of archery clothing. Warm. Soft. Quiet. Comfortable. The parka is a bargain starting at $225.

Is that Day One as warm as the Sitka?

Not sure, as I do not own the Fanatic jacket. I know my Day One parka is super warm (Windstopper clearly helps). Perhaps someone who has used both pieces can chime in. The key here is I have the fleece parka, not the cowboy suede option.

Check the predator website, they have some new offerings for cold weather.

Unfortunately day one does not offer insulation and/or wind blocking material any longer per email I received from the new owner. Very frustrating.

That sounds like a great business decision regarding hunting clothing.

Gray Wolf is your answer. I have one of their jackets and chose it over the Sitka. Finally getting cold enough I can wear it!

I also have a Day One parka in their Cowboy Suede that is awesome. Unfortunately Day One sold and the new owner doesn’t make insulated clothing anymore.

I had original Fanatic Set and it was a huge upgrade to whatever I was using prior. The new stuff is another level over that. I did actually buy the new stuff over the old stuff. It is warmer, quieter, and whiter. It is shockingly warm. In Manitoba here it can get blistering. I used to use my Heater Body Suit. With the old set I'd pull it out once or twice a year. With the new set I've never even pulled it out. Happy to sell it if anyone wants it.

I have to think GrayWolf is the way to go for Predator Fall Gray's warmest option. The Predator brand fleece is warm, but not super effective against wind... So if you are thinking really chilly, I'd err towards GrayWolf.
