This deer was found floating in my local river in November by barge workers. They originally spotted the arrow sticking out of the deer, and went to investigate and found the deer. The barge workers kept the deer waiting for someone to identify the arrow and broadhead found in the deer but no one came forward. The deer has been turned over to the DNR. The deer rough scores in the 230's as a NT.
Arrow sticking out? Wierd. If the arrow doesn't pass through they usually break it off or pull it out.
I can't imagine loosing a buck like that. Holy smokes
So that’s where he went……..
Wonder how far it floated? Someone may come forward yet. That or it was poached unfortunately.
That’s a Shame
Want to let us in on which river/country/State/Procince??
Man I'd hate to be the guy that lost that

With barge traffic I would assume the Illinois or mighty Mississippi but it would be nice to know where, because somebody upstream could identify and get it back
That would have been a challenge for a thermal drone
Hard to say but depending on what looks like a broadhead hole & depending entry angle, a possible liver hit. Either way there's definitely a bowhunter out there somewhere that hasn't had a good night's sleep in a long time.
Finally - rages are for once good for not passing through :)
Its like throwing an ax halfway through em
Iowa Booner Hunter so he was a trans- Mississippi swimmer? Lol
I looked for 3 days for that joker green fletching I bet
That is the exact rope I used to tie him up!
someone has a cam pic of that buck I'd bet
