A lot of eagles around the area currently. The cloudy skies are not great for photographing them, however. It has been cold, -9 this morning. Tomorrow night forecasted is -21. A few good pictures and some mediocre ones.

Frosty the buffalo was jolly happy soul. However, he did not have corncob pipe or button nose, nor were his eyes made out of coal.

Not a great photo but a cool pose by the turkeys. I just noticed after posting that bird on left is a bearded hen.

It might not be a redtail. I am no bird expert. If I am wrong someone correct me. I'll send it to a guy that knows his birds. I'll tell y'all this I can tell the difference between and a moose and deer though!

Are the Eagles doing court ship flights in your area? A friend caught them doing so here last weekend.

Those Ferruginous hawks come in many different color phases, if ya google IMAGES you'll see a bunch of different colors, even some as dark as Golden Eagles...
From that image page learned they'll even cross breed with Red-tailed... Hmmm...

Thanks Altitude. I start enough threads with my pictures (figure better than more politics even if not exactly bowhunting) not to clog up that thread. I did post a drawing I did on it though

Nothing like your pix John, but I watched a pair breed on Saturday, but by the time I got the truck pulled off the road, they were smoking a cigarette...8^)
