Best Binocular Harness/Case
Equipment

I need a new binocular harness/carry case for spot-and-stalk bowhunting hogs. I'm seeing models from $19.95 to $139.95. Usually you get what you pay for, but which is the right one? My binoculars are older Zeiss 10-40B. Thanks!
I’m partial to Marsupial. But you will get recommendations all over the board.

I really like my Adak. Covers my binos and LRF and I can one-hand open and close both.
I looked at a bunch and went with FHF. I really like it. Not cheap but very well made.
I got a marsupial as well and like it
They all differ and unfortunately you need to learn what they offer and what you want. I still prefer the original Kuiu design but that is just me.
I’ll 2nd the ADAK. I’ve used mine, along with the RF case, for 3 years. Zero issues.
Marsupial enclosed bino harness. Add on whichever pockets you want.
Agree on Adak , like RF case and its durable and quiet.
I like my Stone Galcier and range finder pouch. I don’t like harnesses that have pockets on the sides and bottom. They are too big and bulky for me so the SG fits for what I like.
I like the Rick Young version for $19.95.
Marsupial as well. 2 thumbs up
For me Rick young. I’m not a fan of the chest purse.
Marsupial Fully Enclosed, as well. Perfect fit, minimal bulk. I don’t understand this “bigger is better”, Beverly Hillbillies truck look protruding from one’s chest.
I was using an older FHF then moved to the Marsupial. It’s pretty nice but my swaro 10x40 are tuff to get out one handed.
A lot of it depends on how you like the harness to go over your shoulders/around your ribs. At least that mattered ALOT to me. I hate the case up high on my chest. I like it low. You have to consider that aspect. Lots of the cases are very similar now with a soft magnet close, reverse opening and adding accessories.
I’m partial to the magnetic Marsupial.
I have gone full circle on bino harnesses and am back to the original Kuiu. I don’t mind the original Marsupial either. But I use the Rick Young out of a tree-stand and ground blind.
Almost like boots and packs. You want the fit to be perfect, as in the harness fitting the binos. Big and bulky doesn’t allow you to hold the bow as close to chest in a spot and stalk movement. The older Kuiu in a size Large , fit my binos nicely. When Kuiu came out with the Kuiu Pro, the size Large harness would accommodate the same binos and a sandwich. Changed to Marsupial.

I have an older AGC and it’s been great. I’d recommend. However, the Marsupial just looks good. Tailored and “high end”. If the made the no mag version in a large I’d order it in a minute.

Marsupial for typical western hunting, Rick Young for treestands and turkey blinds.
Kuiu Pro Harness for me. I have tried a few and like this one the best.
Another vote for Adak, form-fitting, not bulky, easy to access with one hand, checks all the boxes for me.
I like my Badlands chest harness.
I was in a similar situation recently. I ended up getting a rangefinder from
ATN, and it came with a really nice carry case that works perfectly for my gear. You might want to check them out; their cases are well-made and could be a great fit for your older Zeiss 10-40B binoculars. That way, you get both quality and durability without breaking the bank.
I too do not like a chest purse. Rick Young harness for me.
I've tried a few. Kuiu Pro is nice, but I'm now using the one made by Safari Tuff. Padded well and dead quiet.
I had a Marsupial but I didn’t like the strong magnets they use in their bino harness so I got rid of it and bought a KUIU pro. Been using it for 5 or 6 years now.
I switched from the Kuiu pro to the marsupial. So far I like it better. My Kuiu pro had a squeak to it where the body straps sew to the case itself. Was driving me bonkers. I like the flip down lid of the marsupial better as well. Also living in Alaska the pistol holster underneath the Binos is money to always have my pistol. Previously ran it on my pack hip belt and would find myself without my sidearm 50% of the time
I don’t know if there is a best.
Marsupial makes arguably the best looking but I returned mine because the anti magnet version I bought was really bulky.
The newer Kifaru was absolutely horrible. Sent it back same day.
Tried Kuiu and didn’t really like the Velcro on the bottom and it just felt kind of cheap.
I shopped Vortex and Eberlestock and Stone Glacier. They weren’t bad. Didn’t like all the Velcro on a couple of models and prices for them being made overseas were higher than the American made brands.
I decided none of them were better than my 15 year old AGC Denali harness that is still in great shape. Seeing all the stains on it makes me happy.
I did however buy a new AGC since I was in the mood. Alaska Classic Gen L Max. For me, right now, I’d say it’s the best.
I have a kuiu, it’s ok. Wish Ida kept my agc kiss max.
Frankly I hate them now hunting though and usually shove my binos in my hip belt pocket. Or hand them on the tree while whitetailing
I have the Stone Glacier Sentinel system and not sure how you could improve it.
I am currently still using a marsupial gear but will be on boise tomorrow and picking up a Eberlestock recon. Will test out this year as think will be pretty solid bino case and those guys at Eberlestock are some of the best dudes around.
Don’t rule out the Eberlestock Recon Pretty nice
If you’re leaning towards the Eberlestock they’re on sale for $97.00 on the site.
Some of these guys have chest backpacks with all the accessories... Rick Young for me. Ed F
Outdoor vision is a good’er one
I use a marsupial fully enclosed with a RY harness…
I can’t believe more guys don’t have FHF. Work great, made in America, and they support veterans. Excellent customer service and return policy if needed which I highly doubt
I like the original Kuiu as it provides the support I want, without the bulk. I tried to Kuiu pro and found it too bulky for my taste
Original kuiu for me. I've not tried all of the others, but I'm happy with this one.
Got a Rick Young for treestand hunts, but haven’t tried it yet. I like the original Kuiu. The Pro model was a PIA to get my Geovids out without having to use both hands.
I have a horn hunter bino harness and a vortex, only reason I have the vortex is the magnet in the horn hunter really messes with my garmin gps, watch and handhelds, the horn hunter is way better other than the magnets
i am with those that don't use a chest purse. can't imagine walking around with some of the set-ups i see guys wearing.
i use this simple support strap from vortex. works great.
Marsupial looks identical to my Kuiu Pro. Unfortunately using a set of 10x50 Sig Sauer Zulu's right now for my western hunting that just don't fit in my Kuiu Pro. Hence the looking
I’ve been using the S4Gear Lockdown for 12 years. Simple and cost effective.
I have an original FHF that I got 12 years ago. It’s tiny, protects my investment well. Use that most often and also a Rick Young.
I watched the new cam hanes grizzly video on YouTube. The thing he’s wearing is a backpack on his chest. I could never do that.
