Today President Trump attended the wake for murdered NYC police officer Jonathan Diller and met and grieved with his young widow and 1 year old son.

Some 40 miles away Biden held a gala fund raiser along with Clinton and Obama, where a photo taken with the three stooges cost a mere $100,000.

I hope American voters are watching and taking note. These Democrats have no integrity, no character, and no shame.

It's the so-called political "elite" that think they're relevant.

They should count their lucky stars that they're even tolerated today with the shenanigans they continue to pull...

And in its most basic form that is the difference between Biden and Trump.

Political fluff versus actual feelings for American values .

I know fully well it was a political decision as well, but what move you make shows who you really are. Trump had his share of fluff events as a private citizen.

Just to think where we are in our country right now where if Biden goes to a service where a police officer is killed by an illegal alien it would hurt him with his base of supporters. That’s a scary reality.

From: fdp

Of all the fallen officer services that are held through out the country everyday DJT decides to attend this one....during an election year. Nothing but an opportunistic political stunt.

From: sundowner

I believe the American voters......the American people......ARE watching. Not just this event, but many other examples of the true differences between these two men.

Biden is a totally self centered political ass, whose first thoughts at any time are how his political fortunes will be affected, and that is how his decisions are made. He has been an easily bribed crooked failure in political office for almost half a century, and he needs to go.

I believe the American people can see their country in decline, and they know the reason for it. I believe a growing majority of Americans cannot wait to get to the polls in November to send Biden home and put this nation back in the right direction. Like millions of Americans, I HAVE to believe it. Otherwise there is only further, and accelerated decline of my Country.

It's all political fluff! Neither probably would have been where they were that day if not for politics... biden chose to sell endorsement photos at a gala and Trump chose to honor a fallen police officer.

From: fdp

"You mean the one in which he insulted me?"....playing the victim are we? You insult someone, (even if passive aggressively) and then want to claim victimization when they respond in kind? Not a shocker by any means.

From: sundowner
29-Mar-24
So referring to you as a leftist is an insult?

Funny.....I don't mind at all when I'm called a Conservative!

29-Mar-24
"Yes, he is a leftist. But his comment was true."

to a certain extent i agree (on both parts)...but to insinuate that every presidential nominee isnt going to attend certain functions...in part for political reasons...isnt very bright. thats why i originally posted what i did..."priorities."

trumps priority was to bond with law enforcement and in turn connect all those who support them...a large part of his base.

bidens priority was to bond with celebrities and high dollar donors...and in turn connect with all those who relate with that crowd...a large part of his base.

From: fdp

"So referring to you as a leftist is an insult?"....indeed it is in the context that you use the term in your typical posts and the comments that you associate with the term. Therein lies the passive aggressive piece.

"bidens priority was to bond with celebrities and high dollar donors...and in turn connect with all those who relate with that crowd...a large part of his base.".....or to not politicize a solemn event. You can look at it either way.

In all fairness, wasn’t Trump INVITED to the event for the murdered police officer?

That is what I have read.

I would think crashing someone’s memorial would be extremely odd behavior.

From: 4nolz@work

Trump and the cop are both New Yorkers he was known for doing things like this even as a civilian. As well as meeting every honor flight which was not reported on.The knee jerk reaction is hilarious but soo predictable. The most dishonest thing is a leftist claiming to be conservative. If you are ashamed of what you are you are not to be taken serious. I have respect for people who are what they say they are even if we disagree.Man up ffs.

as with most things-what if Biden went to the memorial and Trump went to a fundraiser? These fools would freak out.

From: Mint
29-Mar-24
Biden can't go to a policeman's funeral. His base will not allow it unfortunately. The same base supports the Hamas terrorists and that's why Biden is pushing back on Israel. The Democrats like Carville, Doug Schoen, etc have been warning them that this progressive radical base is going to eventually destroy the Democrat party. I can only hope.

Biden does not support law enforcement. His base and advisors prohibit him from doing so. They have focused on supporting the criminal element for years and don’t hide it.

I sincerely hope your words weren't directed at me. Dishonest I absolutely am not,,,,and I live about as conservative as anyone I know.....

Donald Trump,,, the man, has rubbed me wrong from day one,,,,,I know the type... cocky, overbearing, me,me,me, type folks, just rub me the wrong way....perhaps a few cold beers with the man would change my mind, but I very seriously doubt it.

The man has gotten my vote because it was the only option imo,

But the revolving door of cabnit appointees, personal lawyers, & Whitehouse damage control removing the foot from his mouth,,,,,,was not a figment of my imagination.

For those of yall that seem to worship the man, good for you,,,,, myself personally just can't.

Absolutely has nothing to do with my personality.......

Another aspect you clearly can't grasp is I have no secrets....I openly speak of the things I did in my youth.....

If you desire to judge the 62 yo man I am today by the things I speak about doing as a kid growing up ,,,,,go for it,,,perhaps somehow it makes you feel good or something.......

You got any secrets from your youth you'd like to share with the group.....ya ever get drunk under the bleachers at the high-school football game & get in a fight,,,,ya get drunk & wreck a car,,,get cought smoking weed behind school, Bust someone in the nose cause they wouldn't leave your girlfriend alone....drugs, you name it, I did it, beer, whiskey, corn liquor, it was the 70s and partying on Fri & sat nights was the game plan.

You bet,, I was a defiant hell raiser,,,,,I also paid my dues for that defiance many years ago.....

You, sir,,, for some reason ? Feel the need to keep prosecuting me for the things I speak of from my youth ....

Pretty funny holding an old man responsible for his youth...just because he has the balls to talk about the stupid things he did in his youth.......

You go ricky.....it's what you do best.

presidents have no choice but to use "air force 1" or "marine 1" for all their air travel...its the law.

however...every president (or his campaign) is also required to reimburse the government for personal or campaign/political use those aircraft...based on a predetermined formula that is the same for every president.

Nobody denies that something happened. But nobody, and I mean nobody, with any amount of common sense believes that it was strictly an effort by MAGA folks. I’ll bet 5 bucks that crowd that broke the window, had as many Biden voters in it as there were trump voters. Pelosi gave orders to stand down, and the cops cowered to her accordingly. And don’t tell me it’s a preposterous idea. Quit being so dramatic about it. You know good and well it was not strictly trump supporters. I just find it odd that values that generations of Americans grew up with such as law and order, respect, pride in America, success being the result of hard work , crime victims having more rights than criminals, our country actually having a border, personal responsibility, foreign adversary deterrence thru military strength, knowing what a man and woman are, economic security, and the American dream is now defined by the liberals as right wing extremism.

From: fdp
30-Mar-24
The lack of security response on January 6th lay squarely on the shoulders of DJT. He was President, as President he was directly in command of the National Guard elements of the District of Columbia and he didn't need one single persons approval to call them up.

From: Nyati

I just haven’t seen any proof that Trump was responsible for it. Insurrection is a federal offense but yet that has never been charged against Trump. They have charged him for just about everything else except insurrection and farting in public.

If the “insurrection hearings “ had actually been about getting to the truth except a panel of Trump hating democrats and 2 Trump hating republicans and a TV Director to coordinate the drama maybe we would know more about the truth. Chairman Loudermilk Publishes Never-Before Released Anthony Ornato Transcribed Interview

March 8, 2024

WASHINGTON - Today, Committee on House Administration's Subcommittee on Oversight Chairman Barry Loudermilk (GA-11) released a transcribed interview the January 6 Select Committee conducted with President Trump's former White House Deputy Chief of Staff Anthony Ornato, which shows President Donald Trump pushed for 10,000 National Guard troops to protect the nation’s capital.

The interview also shows White House frustration with slow deployment of assistance. The Select Committee conducted this interview in January of 2022, but never released it.

Following Mollie Hemingway's reporting, Chairman Loudermilk released the following statement:

“The former J6 Select Committee apparently withheld Mr. Ornato’s critical witness testimony from the American people because it contradicted their pre-determined narrative," said Chairman Loudermilk. "Mr. Ornato's testimony proves what Mr. Meadows has said all along, President Trump did in fact offer 10,000 National Guard troops to secure the U.S. Capitol, which was turned down.

"This is just one example of important information the former Select Committee hid from the public because it contradicted what they wanted the American people to believe. And, this is exactly why my investigation is committed to uncovering all the facts, no matter the outcome.”

Original reporting by Mollie Hemmingway in The Federalist reveals the January 6 Select Committee suppressed exonerating testimony of President Trump's push for the National Guard on January 6, 2021. The Select Committee falsely claimed they had "no evidence" to support Trump officials' claims the White House had asked for 10,000 National Guard troops. Ornato's interview proves this was false.

Top Takeaways:

1. A January 6 committee staffer asked Ornato, “When it comes to the National Guard statement about having 10,000 troops or any other number of troops, do you recall any discussion prior to the 6th about whether and how many National Guard troops to deploy on January 6th?” Ornato surprised the committee by noting he did recall a conversation between Meadows and Bowser: “He was on the phone with her and wanted to make sure she had everything that she needed,” Ornato told investigators.

2. Meadows “wanted to know if she need any more guardsmen,” Ornato testified. “And I remember the number 10,000 coming up of, you know, ‘The president wants to make sure that you have enough.’ You know, ‘He is willing to ask for 10,000.’ I remember that number. Now that you said it, it reminded me of it. And that she was all set. She had, I think it was like 350 or so for intersection control, and those types of things not in the law enforcement capacity at the time.” Ornato was correct. Bowser declined the offer, asking only for a few hundred National Guard and requiring them to serve in a very limited capacity.

3. Bowser’s decision to decline help from the White House did not end the Trump team’s efforts to secure troops ahead of the protest. When the D.C. mayor declined Trump’s offer of 10,000 troops, Ornato said the White House requested a “quick reaction force” out of the Defense Department in case it was needed.

4. Once the Capitol was breached, the Trump White House pushed for immediate help from Acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller and grew frustrated at the slow deployment of that help, according to the testimony. “So then I remember the chief saying, ‘Hey, I’m calling secretary of defense to get that [quick reaction force] in here,” Ornato said. Later he said, “And then I remember the chief telling Miller, ‘Get them in here, get them in here to secure the Capitol now.'”

5. Cheney and her committee falsely claimed they had “no evidence” to support Trump officials’ claims the White House had communicated its desire for 10,000 National Guard troops. In fact, an early transcribed interview conducted by the committee included precisely that evidence from a key source. The interview, which Cheney attended and personally participated in, was suppressed from public release until now.

Rurnstrut..........

Your not very perceptive...... Over the years on this forum I've said dozens of times that I've voted for Trump,, usually followed by the comment that my vote was defensive in nature as in more of a vote against the other candidate......but none the less a vote for Trump.........

I'll even take it a step further and say the only time in my life I've voted "dem" was Clinton's first term,,, I was self employed, with a juvenile type 1 diabetic child & medical ins , medical supplies & doc bills were a real financial struggle.

Clinton was running on affordable medical insurance for everyone & I believed him...

Just to be perfectly clear,,,imo DJT falls way short of the dignity one should expect of the potus,,,a me,me,me, type personally as the highest ranked public servant in the world. Seems kind of a contradiction to me....

But again he's got my vote in 2024 "if he's not in jail".

I agree Timex.....You would think this country could come up with one GOOD man. Knowledge, wisdom, honest, decent leader. Sad truth is till they climb the political ladder to wealth and power, they have probably already been tainted with corruption.

Often the only difference between the common man and political leaders is "opportunity" to be corrupt. The common man deals with, his job, his family, mortgage, 401K...etc...etc Our rich officials got their fingers in everything, and sadly even if they started out good, wealth and power changes them. That being said, Gov't officials should have a higher level of accountability because they are leaders. If my son is a crackhead, it basically effects only my family. If the president of the U.S has a son that is a crackead he should not be leading the whole country, or be involved in foreign affairs.

If i am not a public speaker....no big deal. If the president of the U.S is not a good speaker it is. etc...etc..etc.. Sad this is the best we can do, but Trump is most certainly the best choice of the two. Our Gov't needs a total overhaul, and Trump could get the wheels turning, WHY ELSE DO THEY HATE HIM SO!!

I had no idea that he would win but apparently a majority of Americans didn’t want Hillary and was ready for a change. She and the Democratic operatives couldn’t and have yet not accepted that outcome.

"The political division in this country & perhaps more importantly our government is unhealthy & imo unsustainable. & like it or not Trump has had a major role in that division. The savior to some & toxic to others, with very few neutral in the middle."

Yes, the political division in our country is troubling and, I agree, not sustainable. Of course the cause of the division is seen differently by the opposing forces.

To a Conservative like me, the division had it's roots in the Democrat left moving so far left that reasonable people could no longer compromise with them without giving up on their core principles. And to Conservatives, it seems that the left has no desire to compromise. And when you think they have pushed the envelope as far as they can, they double down on even further insanity. Example: we have a currently serving Supreme Court justice who, during Senate confirmation hearings, could not, or simply refused to define what a woman is. Yet every Democrat voted to confirm her nomination.

Donald Trump, along with all his undesirable traits, just happens to represent the other side of the political spectrum......the belief in American traditions, American common sense, America first policies. There are growing elements in the Democrat party that believe America is evil, and a force for bad in the world. Conservatives can't compromise with that belief, so unfortunately the divide will continue....to what end we can't know. I pray it doesn't end in our total ruin. If it does, Conservatives will always believe it was caused by the leftist Democrats.

The MDC should allow limited bowhunter access for walkin hunting as well as some of the other watershed area's. Would have very low impact if they are not driving in. it;s a shame so much land in CT was donated to the Autoban thru private trust which almost never or seldom used.
