Ahh New Mexico--the state we all love and hate. Always a chance to draw any tag every year but then again always a chance to NEVER draw any tag ever. (coming from the guy who's hunted Valle vidal twice (with my kids), oryx, and Gila archery elk--not bad!. Nada this year, though--let somebody else have a turn!). Congrats to those who drew!!

Downgraded all my elk choices to bottom of the barrel and still failed to draw that or anything else. Really glad my long term plan included rationing at least one preference based tag/year. Will cash my Utah deer points for an OIL hunt this year. Four others 2025-2028. After that it gets dicey. Will just hope 30 squared points in NV will finally be enough? But probably won’t lol.
