I’m looking for some soil samples from different areas of the country. In particular I’m looking for samples from Iowa, Kansas, Illinois, and Ohio. I’d like to look at soil makeup of the states with better trophy potential to see the difference between my soil and better soils in those states. I’d send the samples off to be analyzed for a variety of tests and I would share the results with anyone willing to send me samples. I’d prefer crop land or at a minimum larger food plots. This isn’t a scam, just trying to look at ways to get my soil in a better spot to help improve deer health.

Would the results from the soil samples I sent in earlier this spring suffice, or are you wanting to do a deeper dive into more aspects of it?

I'll send ya some soil. Are you sure you want crop soil? It will be heavily amended and likely not playing the biggest role in the regions trophy potential.

Tom, there is a huge amount of soil data for the entire country on the attached site. You may not have to do any testing.

Your soil is good enough, age is the most important thing for you guys in Wisconsin

I just had some food plots tested last month that have never had amendments.

Here's one of mine from a clover field. This one is pretty good. I'll try and find one that needs help.
