Sad, sad. He was one of my idols when I was growing up and trying to learn to play basketball. I watched him play every chance I got.

That fadeaway jump shot was unstoppable. I think his Laker team still holds the record for consecutive wins of any professional team in all sports, 33 in a row.

I listen to Dan Patrick’s radio show pretty much every day driving around for work. He’s going to be crushed. RIP to one of the best ever, “the logo” back when one could watch and enjoy basketball.

Shrewski……I listened to DP today, and he was pretty emotional about Jerry’s passing. From all I’ve read and heard about him, he was as much a class act as a man, as he was a tremendous ball player and executive. He was my mom’s all time favorite player.
