48" Sable was a beast. Has length, width at the tips, curl of his beams and carries his mass. Couldn't be more tickled and blessed with this bull. A real 'looker'.

Had a great 2023 Safari taking a 48" Sable, Golden Gemsbok, Red Gemsbok (a.k.a. Royal Oryx), Saddleback Blesbok and Copper Blesbok. Wanted to share. Not the more common Gemsbok or Blesbok. Was very blessed on this safari. Great memories.

Next was my Saddleback Blesbok. Came into hide and got a nice shot on him. Working on the Blesbok slam. Pretty animal.

Pretty Golden Gemsbok. One of my favorite animals is the Gemsbok for Africa. These Golden's gave us quite the adventure and hunt. Many stalks before getting a shot.

Royal Oryx or a.k.a. Red Gemsbok. First one I had ever seen. Ran out of time with the bow and on last morning decided to see if we could finish the deal with a smoke pole and got lucky.

Great animals, especially the sable. IMO, it’s the most beautiful animal in Africa, at least of the plains game.

Hunted with Shaun Keeny Safaris, SKS. My fourth time to bowhunt with them. Great outfit. Going back next year to try and finish the Tiny Ten with a bow with Shaun.
