Google "mosquito net for camping". There are lots of variations. I like small ones that just go over the sleeping bag/cot because I'm usually only in the tent to sleep and I hate trying to go to sleep while being eaten.

Thermacell right outside the door. Fly swatter inside. What do people do for spiders? I hate those the worst.
Funny story - once I was camped in a tourist campground to fish the Colorado River. It was caddis season and a prolific hatch. I heard screaming inside the camper next to me. A 60 something, very overweight woman in a bra and panties was running around inside screaming, frantically spraying harmless caddis flies with a can of Deep Woods Off. 30 years ago and I still can't unsee that....

Thanks for the ideas. Most we either use or have tried, except the flame thrower :). Thought maybe there was something we haven't tried yet.
Spiders, agree there, they suck! While elk hunting in Idaho several years ago, one of the guys was bitten on the cheek by a spider. Figured out later it was a hobo spider. Really messed him up for the better part of the next day.

My wife was bitten by a hobo spider and had to go to the hospital overnight. I get bit by those nasty brown "sleeping bag spiders", so I check every night when I'm dirt camping.
