Hang in there fuzzy, someone will reply, there was a thread about them here not long ago...

Might try a google search something like: "bowsite elk ring"

Idk about hand crafted fuzzy but my wife got me a whitetail one from somewhere on “Etsy” I think it’s called. It was whitetail antler wrapped inside a tungsten ring she chose

Don’t seem all that difficult, I haven't made those yet but I imagine you'd drill the appropriate size hole in the base after cutting off the pedicle , then cut off about 3/8 to half inch . Then sand away till it was pretty.

I’ve made some from antler and they are beautiful but I haven’t figured out how to stabilize the antler yet. I work in a hospital and after washing my hands or sanitizing them 100s of times a day the antler just broke down. Definitely a neat project but IMO not for everyday wear.

That's a good point Craig, if you were to stabilize them , you'd do it like a block of wood in an epoxy vacuum.

My antler dealer friend in Kansas City just made one for me. He’s experimented with various antlers and ONLY will use moose antler. He’s had various problems with breakage and tinsel strength.

It’s a lot of work to make them at least the way he’s doing it.

Bill in MI’s rings look great, that’s the direction I’d go. They can be seen towards the bottom of the thread ZBone shared

Antler rings are pretty special. My friend once made one as an anniversary gift for his wife, incorporating a bit of wood from the tree where they got engaged. It turned out stunning, with such a personal touch. It reminded me of when I discovered Ashes With Art and how they also create such meaningful pieces. The idea of blending something so personal into jewelry is incredible. If you’re thinking of trying out antler rings, maybe add a little something extra like that. Personal touches can really make them unforgettable.

That’s exactly what I try to do and all my designs Ashton. The more I can connect the dots and make an emotional connection with a piece for a client the better the reception and longevity of satisfaction.

I'd like to give Bill a shout out on this. His communication is excellent. He has my moose antler and is working on a very special project for me. Thanks Bill!
