Usually, I only post one or two pictures per animal going to post several of this bull shredding his velvet this morning. The rut is just around the corner!

About it for deer, no moose found. A lot of bulls I have been finding throughout the summer have moved on from where they were all summer.

I will be scouting moose tomorrow. Will report if the bulls are also shedding but might be just a little too early.

Paul, in my experience, moose shed a little later. I first saw the bull I killed the day before I killed him on the 5th of September. He was pretty much rubbed clean, although he hadn’t begun to stain. All the others were still in full velvet.

I saw a nice bull moose on Friday while I was scouting for my cow moose.
He wasn’t shedding velvet yet but the top of his rack was dried out and a lighter color that the rest.
I did find my cow moose though
