Custom knife makers?

Hey folks, for those of you who make knives (or have some custom knives) I'd love to see pictures.
My grandfather/mentor recently passed away & I'd love to incorporate some of his old hunting clothes into a knife for myself, possibly younger brother & Dad as well.
I'm a big fan of drop point knives & kydex sheaths, not a crazy finger guard but something to help my hands from slipping.
Ideally the knife (mine at least) would be able to cross sheath, & I'm a big fan of quality materials & would want a knife that's durable and holds an edge well.
Thank you very much
Get ahold of RJ Hunt here. Niche knives. I have several and all are fantastic!
Thanks Matt, i'll add him to the list!
I’ll second RJ. Check out his instagram. Amazing work and great reviews.
I'll third RJ. Does fantastic work. And he's a Bowsiter!
RJ has done a couple of knife builds right here on Bowsite. I have bought 3 for myself and 3 more for family or friends....all have been fantastic.
Thanks guys. I appreciate all the support.
Check out Little Wolf Ironworks- he’s made me 3 knives. All are beautiful but totally functional. He’ll make them however you want with your materials too
The hunting clothes could be used to make micarta for the handle. A web search will turn up everything you need to know.
My Niche knife, ridiculous edge retention.
Another plug for Rob. Niche Knives
A former machinist myself, I was the lucky buyer of Rob's last knife build and this years deer cleaning will be much better because of it!!!
Matt-I haven’t yet no.
I’d like something for processing animals that is strong & holds an edge well, & preferably doesn’t rust easily/quickly.
I’m likely going to have Rob build me a knife, just have to convince my other half
He will ask you what you want the knife to do. Prying tool, opening cans? Meat only? Then he will recommend the steel and hardness
I wanted edge retention so he made it harder which also can mean more brittle. So no hammering or prying. I have dozens of other knives for those chores
Rob for the win!!! Between me, family and friends, I believe we have around 11 or 12 of his knives! I have two that aren't even numbered from when he first started!! I own 5 total personally!!!
Scar, who made your knife I carried on a Cape Buffalo hunt years ago
Jason, what’s that model on the bottom called? I like that profile
Those are all Half Face Blades. The bottom profile is called their Cavner model (or Cav for short). The middle two are Cav Jrs. Top one is a Crow Jr.
My friend makes some beautiful knives. Here is one I won when we had our Club Championship a few years ago.
Great ram! Who made that knife for ya?
