I was thinking it's almost September and I haven't got my Antelope/Deer points purchased yet.
So, I went ahead and got them this early AM, before I forget before the deadline sneaks up on me.
Kinda reminder for you others that may need to purchase your points.
Plus, I've been going thru the Hard Copy of the regs. to see how we had 54 General Elk units statewide before the new 3 break down areas to apply for.
Of course, the General West has the most units to choose from.
Anyways, Get-er-Done if ya need to.

When’s the deadline Robb?
The deadline for all preference points applications is Monday, Oct. 31 by 12 midnight MST. All applications must be submitted online.

Got my points this week. 6 elk and 3 deer now.
Starting to look at elk outfitters now for maybe 2026 or 2027.

11 elk. 10 deer and 10 antelope now. I'll let my kids grow a few year and cash the points in when they are old enough to come along
g5 that is kind of the way I have started to think.. I have 14 points for deer and elk in Wyoming and I may just share them with my kids or my brother and go on a general elk hunt... I started this process years ago with one of my hunting partners and it's not that we don't want to go on these hunts together once we decide to try draw but other things always seem to come up for one or the other and its never the right time to apply.. One other thing that I think of when trying to go with a partner after spending 14 or 15 points is this.... We plan to DIY the hunt and one of us can only take a week off... not ideal to try kill two bulls in one week DIY...
got mine. i used my elk points last season and killed a bull. i think i am out of the wyoming elk game.
i have about 15 deer and antelope points, each. any suggestions where specifically in wyoming to use them, please PM. thanks.
wish you could just purchase the points when/ if you made an application or do all points at the time of a an application. one less thing to think about through the year
Do it! 2021 I screwed up and didn’t apply for deer…also forgot to get a point for second year in a row. Lost 9 deer points. Slowly clawing back….it was a good lesson.

Yes, I get these T-seat covers for warm sitting----as some, Airbnb's or Cabins, bathrooms have limited heating.
A Girlfriend from the past turned me onto them as she always had a cold bum in her morning sit~~
