Heading up today to set up elk and moose camp, check cams once again, and I am so damned joyful!
I'm also filled with hope for the future, for a new beginning where all elk are treated equally, regardless of gender identification. I especially hope I can find a cow moose without a calf close to the road!

Good luck. Hope you fill both tags. Even close to the road is tough with a moose. Mine was only about 60 yards from the road & by myself took several hours to clean, skin, break down & haul to my truck.

I'm wearing a new purple outfit from REI for the moose stalk. They are so vain, and love to stand for tourists to photograph. So I'll be decked out in the latest fall tourist apparel, endorsed by the governor's husband's wife's husband from Boulder (also works well for wolf viewing, they claim!)
