My last office day was my birthday in 2014. But I'm trying to put all the volunteer/policy/lawyer crap away so I can go hunt for a month. Had a two hour meeting with three lawyers today, the final (almost) task before heading further up the mountain.

10 more office days for me. Going to be a long two weeks. I'm pumped and while I still have a lot to do to get ready, it seems manageable as long as my 82 year-old mom can stay out of any health issues. The last two Septembers she has ended up in the hospital. Once the day before I was supposed to leave and last year I got a text from my wife, as I was leaving Walmart in CO after having just bought my OTC tag. Ugh! It's crazy. She does pretty well for being 82 for 11 months out of the year but when she doesn't, it always seems to be September. Thankful for my amazing wife who steps in and helps, but as you guys know, she is my mom so . . .

Here is hoping for good health and an uninterrupted hunt D. My mom is 83 and I currently have her in assisted living but hoping to move her into an independent 55+ reduced rent apartment after my hunt ends 9/20. She has done amazingly well and we will save her over $4K per month...... But still worried no one will be checking on her daily with nursing skills. She will only be 6 miles from my house so we can keep checking and helping her on short notice which is nice.

I heard a bigle in the timber about 6:30 pm thurs evening. shocked as I have never heard a legit bugle in this area hunting it since 2006 many times.

Went for a scouting trip today and staked my claim to the camp spot I like. Will be back in a week or so to hunt. Temps dropped this evening and it rained pretty good. Felt like elk weather.

That is my buddy's trailer. Toyhauler with a front bathroom, middle kitchen then two sofas that fold down into beds and a hide a jack bed that lowers from the roof in the rear. I was in a tent. Next week in WY I'll be in my Cougar 5th Wheel.........
