I will be heading to South Africa tomorrow for a 7 day bow hunt with Limcroma safaris. My wife is going along in a non-hunting role. We plan to do some sightseeing in addition to hunting. This is a plains game hunt and my first time in Africa. It’s a long journey from southern Illinois, and I am really excited about it. I will post photos if I am able, otherwise it will happen once we return.

Soak it all in and enjoy. There is nothing as special as a first African safari. Good luck, Bill

Good luck BOWHUNTER09, and shoot straight. If you don’t mind, discuss your equipment.

Enjoy your time. Limcroma is a great place. My wife loved it. Isn't a hunter but picked up a rifle and decided she wanted to take a kudu

You will love it. As others said, first time to Africa is so special. Glad you can experience it with your wife too. My one and only trip to Africa was with my wife (fiance at the time).
Also it will never be cheaper then when your there to take extra animals, you maybe didn't think of.

Congratulations and good luck. Back in 2017 I went to South Africa with a buddy and brought my wife as a non hunter. She had shot 3D for over 15 years but never had a desire to hunt. At the end of the hunt my PH talked her into coming back in 2018 to hunt for the first time. Long story short, probably the best mistake I ever made…….now most of my hunts cost me double.

Limcroma runs a first-class operation in every way! Trust me when I tell you that you will be thinking about booking your next safari before the first one is over! Safe travels! Looking forward to the photos and the report!

Definitely shoot all you can unless you plan on more trips. Cheaper than a return trip.

I was going for plains game and used a Mathews HTR bow at 55 pounds, Gold Tip arrows, and Iron Will vented 125 grain broadheads. Arrow weight was 425 grains. I shot a nice old warthog, and an impala. The PH was really helpful in identifying mature animals. I saw an incredible number of animals, many of which were not on my list. Also witnessed some amazing trackings skills. Food and accommodations were top notch, and I don’t know what could have been done better on their part. Great staff and a first rate organization.
