I have just a little driving to do in the next few days…

Wondering if there are any good elk calling tutorials out there such that I could play them in the car while I’m driving?

Look up the ElkNut Paul Medel on some podcasts and listen to him.

There area lot of elk calling videos on youtube. You can convert them to sound-only mp3 files using simple app/sites. Just copy and paste the video url to the site, convert and download.

Here’s a great video from Corey Jacobson. He goes in to detail about calling scenarios of all kinds.

If you're blowing a cow call, try to sound horny.

Thanks, Gents !

@ Drycreek — funny you should mention that, given that I think i read somewhere that Elk actually do produce bugles on the inhale, which struck me as odd in that I have it in my head that I have seen video clips of steam jetting out of a bull’s muzzle while they were bugling…

Wouldn’t be the first time that I have seen Bad Information circulating on the web…. Or in print, for that matter…

I’m gonna stick to your advice, but it’d be interesting to get a definitive answer on how the bulls are doing it….
